"Contrary to the belief that solar panels are most effective in sun-drenched areas, Cameron said they work well in Oregon because they are designed to capture ambient light, which is common in this climate. In fact, he said the panels need more upkeep, such as frequent washing, in places that have less precipitation and more smog."
