Does Solar Leasing Make Sense?

Here's a reprinted article from Reuters. Homeowners should understand that federal and state incentives, including SRECs,  go to the lease provider and not the homeowner.

    There are a few companies that will install solar panels on your house and charge only for the energy that they produce. You only pay a monthly charge that is less than what you save on your electricity bill. The downside is that you never own the system and it doesn't add to the value of your house
